Wine Tasters of Calcutta 4

This has been one of the most ordinary yet so fascinating trips of mine to the northern parts of Calcutta. These are just a couple of snaps of a lane called Serpentine Road.  And believe me its not a misnomer. It was shabby, old, and filled with hungry street children, criss-crossing, interwined with memories, history and people,  yet it caught my fascination. As if history spoke through the 200 year old walls.

Won’t say much…

Very nice…would had loved more to see… Sad though… hurts me to see my kol loosing itself but at the same time a ride down such memory lanes feels very warm too. You know we feel sad to see its condition but at the same time we dont want it to change also…we just fear to loose that something which is really our, really we… Just one sigh! and it says it all. cheers

@Sugata: dude, long time.. nice to see you here! Yes, about this blog… it has been an accidental trip and I was awe struck about how little I know about the city and its breathing lanes hidden among the glittering lights of the psoh malls and the faithless rat race of its people. Good to know! :-)
