Mother 4

Mama, oh, I’m so scared of ghosts,

So dark in here, and I feel lost!

Mama, I know, you can’t wait to see moi,

So do I, love me and wrap me, your bundle of joy!

Mama, I love it when you laugh out loud,

So, heavenly, when you walk with me, and talk to the cloud!

Mama, I don’t wanna hurt you ever,

So here’s the biggest hug, which I’m sure you got never!

Mama, how’s the world outside?

So, is it dark too? As hope sleeps beside?

Mama, I’ve heard it’s a place worth fighting for,

So, I wanna be strong and win it for you!

Mama, I’ve heard there is love and hate,

And how about miracles and fate?

Mama, I know you love yellows and the seas,

I’ll peddle every dream you see, say ‘cheese’?

Mama, who is religion and what is George Bush?

Why is a first date and what’s a cherry bomb?

Mama, you give me roots, and also ask me to fly?

Why do we create music and then do a war cry?

Mama, what makes us love, and drop bombs too?

What is the November rain, and when is the sky hue?

Mama, did you read all of the Harry Potters?

I’ll read you if you didn’t,

One page every night!

Mama, when is your birthday?  Do you like chocolates?

So do I, but I love you more!

About Dream Peddler

The author finds too many similarities with himself and the boy Calvin. Although a cold blooded techie, working with an Indian software MNC, the finer things of love and life fascinates him. Major portions of his work are about the things that inspires and pacifies. Politics and society too get a chance.
