Freshly Spread: Spaghetti Bolognese


Ingredients  - Serves 2 Persons

  • 250 gm Lamb/Mutton/Beef Mince

    Spaghetti Bolognese

    All Strings Attached

  • An Onion (medium size), finely chopped
  • 1-2 tbsp of oil (preferably olive oil)
  • Ready made Bolognese Sauce
  • 160 gm. of Spaghetti  

Method – Cooking the Bolognese Sauce

  • Heat the oil in frying pan
  • Add onion
  • Fry it till golden brown
  • Add some salt and chilli powder (as per taste, remember the sauce already has salt and pepper in it)
  • Put mince lamb
  • Cook it in medium heat until the meat looks brown.
  • Add the bolognese sauce to mince
  • Cook on low until it starts to simmer

Method – Cooking the Spaghetti                                                                               

  • Boil water in a sauce pan
  • Add salt to taste  
  • Put the spaghetti in the boiling water
  • Try not to break the spaghetti sticks
  • Push the spahetti inside the sause pan slowly
  • Cook the spaghetti according to the packet instructions
  • Stir from time to time to keep the spaghetti from sticking
  • Usually it takes 8-9 mins
  • Remove one noodle after 8 minutes and taste
  • Sometimes it takes longer time to cook the spaghetti
  • Drain the water
  • Put some olive oil and toss them, so that the spaghetti do not stick
